YOUR MORNING IS SHAPING YOUR FUTURE.

Give me 2 minutes. This little practice might help you shape the future you want — starting tonight.

Something has shifted in me since last year — actually, I’d call it a pretty big leap.

I’ve been learning and experimenting more deeply with meditation, self-hypnosis, sound, movement and the mind. I’m still learning — A LOT 😆 — but some of these practices have genuinely helped me feel happier, calmer, clearer and more abundant in everyday life.

So I thought… why not start sharing some of them?

I am NOT here to tell you “this is how you should live.” Just little things that work for me, in case they might be useful for you too. 🤍

Why morning and night?

You’ve heard about morning routines, meditation, affirmations, journaling…

But have you ever wondered why people often recommend doing these things right before sleep or first thing in the morning?

Maybe you’re already doing it — if so, keep going. 😉

These are two important transition windows between sleep and wakefulness. Your brain activity, attention and brainwave patterns are shifting as you move into or out of sleep — making these moments useful for relaxation, setting intentions and directing your attention.

In simple words:

Before the world gets your attention, choose where YOU want to put yours.

Even just 5–10 minutes.

I was doing this before I understood why..

I’ve always been active — ballet from five, then sports, hip-hop, yoga, running…

But after moving to Spain and entering a stressful corporate chapter, I started working out seriously and consistently.

Honestly? I needed somewhere for all that stress and anger 🔥 to go.

Movement worked. I felt happier and calmer and there’s a biological reason for that too.

Physical activity can increase chemicals involved in mood, motivation and alertness, including endorphins(Relief), dopamine (Reword) and norepinephrine(Altertness), while also increasing blood flow and helping the brain shift into a more awake, engaged state.

So moving in the morning wasn't just waking up my body — it was helping me change my state.

Then I discovered morning workouts.

Before the emails, problems and demands began, I already had my first win of the day: DONE.

I kept doing it for more than 10 years.

Only later, through learning about hypnosis, habits, attention and neuroplasticity, did I understand that I wasn’t only training my body.

I was training a pattern in my brain:

Wake up → move → feel good → begin.

And repetition turned it into a habit.

Try this tomorrow.

Before reaching for your phone, give yourself 5–10 minutes.

Move. Stretch. Breathe.

Then ask:

How do I want to feel today?

Happier? Calmer? Confident? Playful? Productive? Abundant?

Choose your state.

Then turn it into a HOW question:

How can I make today more fun?
How can I be productive AND calm today?
How can I create more abundance today?

You don't need to know the answer yet.

The question gives your attention a direction. Plant the seed 🌱 and let yourself start noticing ideas, choices and opportunities that match it.

Now imagine repeating this for:

7 days → 2 months → 1 year → 10 years.

Can I guarantee the exact job, money, relationship or dream you want will magically show up?

Of course not. 😂

But what I can tell you is: you’re going to feel GOOD anyway.

If those few minutes help you feel happier instead of grumpy, calmer instead of stressed, clearer instead of overwhelmed — you’ve already changed how you enter your day.

Because your state shapes your perspective, and your perspective shapes how you experience your world.

So tonight before sleep, and tomorrow before reaching for your phone:

Choose your state.
Ask a better question.
Give your mind a direction.

And one last question:

If you repeated this for the next year… who might you become?

Plant the seed. 🌱
Your future is built from little moments like this ;)

Cheers,

Joyce
